The network of doctoral schools of chemistry RedoX

The network of doctoral schools of chemistry was created in July 2009 at the Maison de la chimie in Paris. ESDC is one of the founding members.

The Network is the result of the work of a small group of directors of doctoral schools of chemistry (Bordeaux, Lyon, Strasbourg), representatives of industry and UIC, the GBS, the Ministry, which began to meet in spring 2007 at the House of Chemistry in Paris on the initiative of Ms. Danièle Olivier, Vice-President of the Foundation of the House of Chemistry. The purpose of the meetings was to promote the professional insertion of doctors :

  • by encouraging chemistry doctoral schools to share their best practices for better training of doctors
  • by connecting young doctors and employers, particularly through a website
  • by federating doctoral schools to promote contacts between their leaders.

The site docteurs-chemie.org at the service of the chemists community was inaugurated in November 2009 in Paris. It was born thanks to the support of the Foundation of the House of Chemistry and the Union of Chemical Industries.

The International Foundation of the Chemistry House and the Redox Network of Doctoral Schools of Chemistry offer 10 allowances of 1500 euros to allow doctoral students to go abroad to present their work in the context of high-level congresses, invited seminars or internships in renowned institutions.
