Educational registration

List of documents to download on the application with signature of the doctoral student, the thesis director and the director of the research unit for a 1st registration :

  • The application for 1st registration via the doctoral application signed by the candidate, the thesis director and the director of the research unit
  • The doctoral charter (in French / English) signed by the candidate, the supervisor and the unit director
  • Theses reporting form in preparation (STEP)
  • The certificate of hearing for a doctoral candidate
  • A thesis project (1-2 pages) specifying the problematic, its current state attested by some bibliographical references, the initial work program, the availability of the necessary means. This subject should be written by the Thesis Director
  • A curriculum vitae describing in particular the university curriculum of the candidate (all years from the final year of high school with indication of results, mentions, sessions)
  • A copy of the final transcripts of the master (years Bac +4 and Bac +5). Students benefiting from a derogation from the diploma requirements provide a copy of the notification of the derogation
  • A thesis supervisor's certificate on funding indicating the source of the funding, its monthly net or gross amount and its duration. Holders of a doctoral contract awarded by the ED are exempted from providing this document.
  • The attestation of success or the copy of the diploma of MASTER
  • The training agreement (see procedure)


Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Administrative registration

The administrative registration for a doctorate is done as soon as the secretariat of the doctoral school will have informed you by email about the validation of your teaching file. You will then be able to file online the supporting documents requested during your administrative registration and to follow the progress of the processing of your file on the new PJWEB digital service.

Administrative registration file

The final validation will be made only after receipt of the following supporting documents and payment of tuition fees:

  • Individual analysis sheet
  • Photocopy of an identity document
  • Photocopy of the visa if applicable
  • 1 photo of identity (2 if card culture, to note on the back name and surname)
  • Photocopy of the employment contract or attestation of financing of the thesis
  • Social Security Coverage (if required) and Liability Coverage
  • 1 certificate of schooling in case of parallel enrollment in another institution

Late registrations in the first year

Registrations after the deadline are possible when there is a justification: for example diploma or financing obtained late. A written request from the thesis supervisor stating the reasons must be submitted in all cases.
